Title Pageant
Competitive soloists are invited to enter their solos in Title division at Nationals! The Title Pageant differs from our regional title divisions as dancers at Nationals are scored in four separate elements: a ballet master class, their solo, a pageant walk, and an interview.
Please select “title solo” when registering the routine(s) you would like to have judged for the Title division. Routine(s) registered for the title division are not eligible for Overall High Score Awards. When entering more than one title routine, the scores for the master class, formal wear and interview will be added to each routine.
Opening Number
Throughout the season, On Point awards Opening Number invitations to competitive soloists. Selected dancers are invited to join us at Nationals – with or without their team – and to participate in the Opening Number for our Ultimate Victory. It is a great opportunity to learn from new choreographers and make new friends from across the country while having fun in Virginia Beach!!
Title & Solo Showcase
The third position Top Overall Solo award winner and Title winners from each division (Mini, Petite, Junior, Teen and Senior) will return to showcase their winning performance at our Ultimate Victory finals. These performances are for exhibition purposes only and will not be competing for additional awards.
Ultimate Victory
On Point’s Ultimate Victory takes place on the final day of competition where the top placing routines take to the stage and dance for championship status! These performances are the culmination of hours of hard work and fine-tuning and for our graduating seniors it is their final On Point performance. It is a celebration and regardless of scores, everyone leaves a winner!!
Who competes?
Second Position: The top three small groups and large groups in the Mini, Petite, Junior, Teen and Senior age divisions who compete in Second Position will re-compete for the Ultimate Victory for additional awards and prizes. Groups may be combined if there are fewer than 3 in each division. It is possible that more than 3 routines will be included if there are ties. A studio can have more than one group in a particular age division, group category (small, large, lines and production) if the additional group is comprised of completely different dancers. Otherwise, only the highest scoring group from a studio may participate in the Ultimate Victory.
Third Position: The top five small groups, top five large groups, top five lines in the Mini, Petite, Junior, Teen and Senior age divisions who compete in Third Position will re-compete for the Ultimate Victory for additional awards and cash prizes. The top five productions in the Petite & Junior (combined) and the top Teen & Senior (combined) will also re-compete for the Ultimate Victory for additional awards and cash prizes. Groups may be combined if there are fewer than 5 in each division. It is possible that more than 5 routines will be included if there are ties. A studio can have more than one group in a particular age division, group category (small, large, lines and production) if the additional group is comprised of completely different dancers. Otherwise, only the highest scoring group from a studio may participate in the Ultimate Victory. Will your studio be the Ultimate Victors? You won’t know unless you join us!
